Todone

Inspiration

My childhood struggles with managing homework and tasks, feeling overwhelmed and disorganized, sparked the idea for Todone. I aim to create a solution that would simplify task management while also fostering problem-solving skills—a tool I wish I had back then.

What it does

Todone breaking tasks down into manageable steps via yourself by node to reducing stress and encouraging methodical thinking, it not only keeps children organized but also helps them develop essential problem-solving skills crucial for success in academics and beyond.

How I built it

Todone was built using a stack that includes Next.js, NextAuth for authentication, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Prisma and supabase for database. Additionally, ReactFlow to create interactive task nodes and enhancing the user experience.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges I faced was the short deadline of the hackathon. It put pressure on me to work quickly and efficiently. Additionally, learning to use ReactFlow for the first time was a bit tricky. It took some time to understand how it worked and how to incorporate it into the project seamlessly. But with perseverance, I was able to overcome these challenges.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating Todone, a tool that simplifies task management and fosters problem-solving skills, is a achievement because I can make it in timeframe of hackathon. it fills me with proud and motivates further innovation.

What I learned

During the development of Todone, I encountered and conquered new challenges. One notable experience was tackling ReactFlow for the first time, requiring a learning curve but ultimately expanding my skill set. Additionally, I honed my time management abilities, efficiently meeting deadlines and juggling multiple tasks effectively.

What's next for Todone

I plan to refine its features, potentially adding collaborative task management functionality, and improving the user interface based on feedback. Additionally, I aim to create custom types of nodes to help users better manage their workflow.
