In a world where sustainability is essential, our platform transforms how communities reduce waste and support one another. Imagine a local trade network where you can swap items—like a bike for a necklace—instead of buying new. By connecting neighbors for in-person exchanges, we eliminate shipping emissions and encourage a circular economy, turning once-forgotten items into valuable resources. To make it even more rewarding, every three trades result in a tree planted, visualized in a fun, gamified experience that tracks your positive impact on the environment. With this app, you can avoid consumer culture while building a sustainable, eco-conscious community through meaningful exchanges.

We were inspired by the idea of thrifting and giving life to old items in a way that can bring your community together. We conducted 6 user interviews, intense competitive analysis on Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp, and affinity mapping which led us to this problem statement. "Gen Z consumers are seeking a reliable and sustainable way to shop for secondhand items, desiring both convenience and affordability in their purchasing decisions, to do so they need a platform that not only curates desirable, high-quality thrift options but also provides transparency about item condition, making it easier to find the best deals and build trust in secondhand shopping."

If we had more time, we would add filtering option to the search bar, enhance aesthetics of the site, add a design to rate your experience after the trade for both the item and the trader, usability testing, and an account creation page.
