Transfer Planner

Inspiration

We are simply community colleges students who want to transfer successfully, and we were wanting other students to transfer successfully.

What it does

The website leads you to a selection of schools and asks about your timeline and gives you back the classes it thinks you should take to meet your unit goals

How we built it

We build this using Python and Flask as a backend, and a website as a front end.

Challenges we ran into

One of the major issues that we ran into is none of the info is pre-tabulated, so must be transcribed by hand.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are especially proud of all of us because we are all beginners to hackathon and brought different skillsets in creating our website.

What we learned

We learned collaboration is most critical, time crunches make everyone work faster, putting lists of files into our website, and that there are more apps/programing languages/websites we can use in the computer science world. We also learned that simplicity is gold as we would simplify our code many times.
