Inspiration
Google Maps' add stop feature is a useful way to plan out running many errands in a single trip, but such adding multiple stops isn't available on Google Maps (or other transit apps).
What it does
Allows you to add unlimited stops to a transit journey and specify minimum stopover times at each destination.
How we built it
Node.js backend, (unfinished) React frontend
Challenges we ran into
React kept throwing weird errors, google APIs json has inconsistent behavior depending on the availability of transit and distance between destinations
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a working endpoint that is able to plan multi-stop transit trips
What we learned
node, react
What's next for TransitBuddy
Creating a working frontend, allowing for intelligent suggestions for stopover times depending on transit departure times
