Our inspiration for TrashPro came from a shared commitment to environmental sustainability. We wanted to create a solution that simplifies waste sorting and encourages responsible disposal.

What it does

TrashPro employs AI image recognition to classify items into Recycle, Compost, or Landfill categories. It empowers users to make eco-friendly choices when disposing of waste.

How we built it

We developed TrashPro using Flask and integrated the Roboflow API for image recognition. The front end was built using Flet, providing a user-friendly interface.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges in fine-tuning the AI model and optimizing performance. Integration with the Roboflow API and handling real-time image processing posed technical hurdles.

We're proud of creating an app that promotes environmental awareness and sustainable waste management. TrashPro's user-friendly interface and accurate sorting capabilities are significant achievements.
