Tree planting

Inspiration

We took inspiration from other nonprofits and came up with our own. We wanted to showcase the importance of trees and how little we know about the things they do for the environment.

What it does

It would show people how and why they should donate. We also added a tree tracker portion to encourage people to keep track and contribute. They could see the different things our nonprofit would do and see how different we are from other nonprofits.

How we built it

We used Figma for the entirety of the project.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble creating a visually appealing site that reflects the nonprofit’s mission and looks professional yet approachable. Since we are new to UX/UI, this was our first time doing anything like this.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to be able to design a website that looks like something people would approach and make use of. We are also proud to have participated in this event even though we have never worked or done anything in UX/UI.

What we learned

We learned that time management is important and that research matters when creating a website or app.

What's next for Tree planting

We could use this now and create the backend soon so we can finish the entire project.
