Inspiration
In today's fast-paced world, creating personalized and immersive travel experiences can be challenging. Many travelers miss out on the richness of local culture, historical sites, and culinary delights due to the lack of accessible and tailored itineraries. Inspired by the need to make enriching travel plans easy and drawing inspiration from the Try Valley Official Website, we created EventEZ. Our goal is to leverage technology to provide travelers with the information they need to confidently explore destinations, ensuring every journey is unique and meaningful.
What it does
EventEZ is a user-friendly application designed to enhance the Tri-Valley's official website and boost local business tourism. By integrating Generative AI or LLM agents, EventEZ streamlines trip management and addresses existing technology limitations. With the addition of an Events tab, users gain one-click access to a diverse array of local events, tailored to their interests. This innovative approach aims to increase tourism by up to 16.7%, injecting vitality into the local economy and supporting businesses. Powered by advanced AI technology, EventEZ ensures travelers have instant access to curated event information, making every visit to the Tri-Valley unique and engaging.
How we built it
The app was built using React, a powerful JavaScript library for creating interactive front-end applications. We integrated LLMs and agents to generate dynamic content tailored to users' interests. Geolocation is managed through the Google Maps API, which calculates the distance between the user's current location and event locations. The app's interface is designed for seamless navigation and enhanced user experience, ensuring easy access to local events and trip management features.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges encountered during the development of this project included:
Integration Complexity: Integrating various technologies such as React, LLMs, agents, and the Google Maps API posed challenges due to compatibility issues and learning curves associated with each tool.
Data Management: Managing and organizing event data from different sources while ensuring accuracy and relevance presented challenges, particularly in synchronizing updates and maintaining consistency.
Geolocation Accuracy: Ensuring precise geolocation calculations using the Google Maps API proved challenging, especially in areas with limited data coverage or inaccuracies in mapping data.
Performance Optimization: Optimizing the app's performance, especially in handling large datasets and real-time user interactions, required careful consideration of resource utilization and efficient algorithms.
User Experience Design: Designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface that seamlessly integrates event browsing, trip planning, and location-based features while maintaining a modern and appealing aesthetic posed design challenges.
Testing and Debugging: Thorough testing and debugging were essential to identify and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies, user interface responsiveness, and integration errors across different platforms and devices.
Resource Constraints: Balancing project timelines, resource availability, and feature requirements within budget constraints presented challenges in prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
Despite these challenges, the project team remained resilient and proactive in finding solutions, ultimately delivering a robust and innovative solution to enhance the Tri-Valley's official website and boost local business tourism.

What's next for EventEZ
We aim to integrate flight price estimation based on the distance calculated between the user's current location and event locations. This will allow users to get a comprehensive view of their travel costs, making trip planning even more convenient. Additionally, we plan to introduce personalized event recommendations using advanced machine learning algorithms to tailor suggestions to users' preferences and past activities. Another future enhancement is to implement user reviews and ratings for events, providing more detailed insights and helping users make informed decisions. Expanding the app to support multiple languages will also be a priority, making EventEZ accessible to a broader audience. Lastly, we are considering partnerships with local businesses to offer exclusive deals and discounts to users, further enhancing the value and appeal of our platform.
