Inspiration
It all started in a TRON community chat. I was asked about how rare some TRON NFTs were, not just once but multiple times across different platforms. Curious and a bit adventurous, I searched for tools that could help but ended up deciding to build one myself. From there, the concept of TronsCore took off—why not create a whole toolbox of handy features for the TRON community?
What it does
TronsCore.com is like a Swiss Army knife for the TRON blockchain. It’s where you can find tools to make your TRON journey smoother and more insightful. And I'm always thinking of new gadgets to add.
First off the bench, I’ve got the POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) system—it's all about celebrating and remembering the events you’ve been a part of. Think of it as a digital keepsake box that helps you show off your participation badges right on the blockchain. Neat, right?
Next up, the NFT Rarity Checker, inspired by the needs of real TRON enthusiasts and based on what I saw with TronNinjas. Anyone can check how rare their NFTs are using:
- Manual entry: Just type in an ID and get the details on that specific NFT..
- Wallet connect: See all your NFTs at once, neatly sorted by rarity..
And don’t forget the APY Calculator, a simple tool for figuring out your potential earnings. Just punch in what you’re planning to invest, and it tells you what you might earn back.
How we built it
Armed with Solidity, TronWeb, and a mix of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I crafted these tools. And yes, there was quite a bit of Excel involved (more than I'd like to admit). Data had to be double-checked, then triple-checked against Tronscan, all interaction with wallets happens through TronLink, and a BTFS node was set up to handle decentralized storage needs. At first the metadata will be stored online. Additionally (2025), integrating the BitTorrent File System (BTFS) enhances data integrity and accessibility, providing a decentralized storage solution that guarantees that all digital assets and event records are safely and permanently stored on a distributed network.
Challenges we ran into
Making sure all the data was spot-on for the rarity checker was no small task. Translating what I knew from EVM to TVM? Setting up and configuring the BTFS node presented its own set of hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Started out at beginner level and now have a working quality product. Overcoming the hurdles and learning a lot from every step and setback.
What we learned
Theres nothing you can´t accomplish, if you set your mind to it.! Started from a beginner level and over the last year or so I´ve brushed up on HTML,CSS and JS + learned more and more about blockchain tech. and smart contracts on TRON.
What's next for TronsCore
I’m not stopping here. Next is adding more tools to the website and more community NFTs to the rarity checker. Further out in the future, I plan to continue exploring and integrating BTFS. Whatever the community needs, I’m here to build it.
