Inspiration

The inspiration came from, thinking more outwards. Normally SDG makes you think third world, often forgetting those in our own area struggle. How can you help others if you cant help those near you, thus TTC-Seek was born, to fix the 11.2, 11.3, 11.4 subgoals.

What it does

It takes the database, we attach weightings heuristically, assigning "people waiting", direction to each stop, to which Gemini takes it and gives routing and algorithm tips for optimization.

How we built it

We built it by taking the backend in python, front end in HTML. Via flask.

Challenges we ran into

Installing so many dependencies and interpreters hindered our path to get started, but we made it through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Managed to get HTML and flask to work with no prior experience just with hard work. Being able to simply create a page from what felt like nothing magically getting things to work felt so rewarding as a team. Especially since it was our first time using ANY of these tools.

What we learned

We learned the usefulness of branching, version management, Github CoPilot AI and a lot about HTML we never knew.

What's next for TT-Seek

We plan to either use personal funding to make this be a real pitch to the TTC, or to use the backend and front end we learned to make something that has a bigger impact. Focusing on not just one SDG, but many
