Our initial inspiration was a sentiment analysis project that I did using a Reddit api in a class. IT was made to detect depression and similar mental illness in student posts. Our bot goes through tweets and finds tweets promoting mental health. We built it using the twitter api and knowledge from classes we've taken. Some challenges have been meeting up due to the pandemic as well as finding a place to start as only one of us was familiar with Twitter bots, but none of us knew what we wanted to do. I'm glad that we are able to submit anything as this was a new challenge to all of us. We all learned some new coding as we each introduced a different aspect of coding that the others were unaware of, and hopefully the team will continue to learn from each other and participate in another hackathon.
