Inspiration

We want to see what everyone is posting on twitter about a topic. We are also interested in how positive people think about different topics.

What it does

TwitterDanmaku provides real time tweets in the form of Danmaku, which is a form of text that flows across the screen. The texts are color coded based on their positivity, which is assessed by a Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithm.

How we built it

We build it with lots of coffee and love, plus a little bit of Node.js, Express, HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

As first time coders, we did not have much experience in web development so we had to learn as we build. Coding the Danmaku animation with Javascript and CSS was a big challenge and took a lot of tweaking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully integrated a NLP algorithm into our website to rate the positivity expressed by the tweets and the result is amazing. We won the cup stacking contest with a 14 story tall cup tower.
