UBinder

Inspiration

Our project was inspired by features of Tinder and Uber.

What it does

It shows profiles of drivers that you can swipe left or right to get your desired spaceship driver. If you swipe right, spaceship leaves earth and if you swipe left, spaceship comes back to earth. By swiping right, you select the driver and left means you rejected the driver.

How we built it

We built it using processing and java. We also used libraries for putting sound and images into our program.

Challenges we ran into

We initially attempted to utilize a basic gui that turned out to be too simplistic so we switched over to processing. We also ran to issues with sound where it would loop to other profiles after it was initiated by the first profile.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Accomplishments we are proud of are that we were able to make a swiping feature and a match-up feature where your matches will immediately unmatch you because of your messages.

What we learned

We learned how to code in processing and learned about how their libraries work.

What's next for Ubinder

I think we can do a better job of making the program look more polished whether it be using a different language like JavaScript because it has more options on making the app look better. We can also add an account creation and log in system to make it feel like an actual app.
