MY GRANDMA GOT PHISHED :((((

What it does

It uses AI Phishing Detection within our Chrome Extension to provide phishing protection for your emails. Contains a built-in fishing game for collecting digital fish, improving phishing detection and training. You can increase your chance of winning digital fish by contributing to detection process.

How we built it

We built our extension using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. We compiled our backend SAM instance with PowerShell, our SurveyMonkey component was creating a quick survey.

Challenges we ran into

Dependency conflicts, lack of accessible documentation, issues with uOttawa wifi preventing remote-access solutions, AI orchestration and creation via SAM and plugin integration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made it through the hackathon, we had lots of fun. We learned lots.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate AI technology, troubleshoot LLM and APIs. Last but not least, 36 hours of non-stop hacking is a lot of time...

What's next for uOttaPhish

Publicize our extension and if someone can make our chrome extension even better to help stop phishing.
