Inspiration
One day the digital version of a vaccination is available - and still 80 Mio. yellow paper cards flying around because noone bothers to type them into the system. Individuals will miss out of the pros of an digital version and research will miss out from a huge database useful for exploring and improving vaccination provision and policies.
What it does
By implementing an efficient and easy possibility to migrate the legacy cards to a new generation we can prevent this situation. We want to make use of techniques already available. Digitizing the vaccination card is a task that can be finished by the a parellized germany in 5min: Everyone please take out their phones, scan your card and import it to the digitized vaccination card.
How we built it
Our prototype already proves that it is feasible to extract all the vaccinations from your card and put them into context of a vaccination plan. Date and doctor detection will follow. Until the digital vaccination card is around our tool will be able to give you tips regarding upcoming or missing vaccinations, if you are not exactly sure if the third shot of Hepatits A was already done or not ... because you don't know that Havrix is the vaccine and your doctor did not bother to put the description next to it.
Admittedly it would probably take a while until you find that thing, but once you do, you don't have to worry about weird names and unreadable handywriting.
