Inspiration
I was inspired by my parents and the art of Ayurvedic medicine and its applications in healing people in a way that does not leave harmful side effects, unlike current Western medicine.
What it does
Our project, “VedRX” is a sophisticated and user-friendly platform designed to empower individuals to find medication for a wide range of health issues, with common ailments. At its core, the platform provides a health assessment tool, allowing users to input information about their problems and solutions and get a solution that uses Aryuvedic medicines.
How we built it
We leveraged AI technology from the Gemini AI API to create personalized recommendations tailored to each user. These recommendations can encompass a wide range of ayurvedic cures, further enhancing the user experience, and making sure that user data is stored in a way that is compliant with relevant healthcare regulations. We also used Bootstrap Studio to build the Front End HTML5 for the application.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into the challenge of making sure Gemini AI would be able to work with any scenario. Certain queries were getting blocked because of safety restrictions and the overall runtime of the system was very slow. We overcame this by making a system that would be done through a bit-by-bit system, where the Gemini AI must find one specific valid data piece before being able to move to the next.

We are proud of creating this application in the 12-hour time constraint that we had over the last 2 days.
What we learned
By offering a holistic approach to health management through ayurvedic cures, our platform aims to empower individuals to take control of their well-being through natural remedies and make informed non-detrimental decisions about their health.
What's next for VedRx
We want to turn this into a business in the future that delivers these medical solutions to people in need in a manner that is affordable for them (insurance, payment plans, etc).
