Inspiration

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) new policy on the cashless system of payment has raised a lot of concern to the growth of the Nigerian economy, with the objective of reducing robbery, high cost of processing cash, revenue leakages and so many difficulties processing payment. Everyone most especially traders, bears the high costs associated with cash handling and bookkeeping.

What it does

• Send and receive payments.
• Proper bookkeeping and business metrics power by AI for better account forecast and business decisions.
• Low-risk investment options

How we built it

• The system was built using Flutter framework,
• NIBSS sandBox for verification
• SterlingBank InterBank Transfer SandBox
  
• Nodejs as backend Service

Challenges we ran into

• Timing was short
• No much resource was available to work within the sandbox
• Deployment challenges

• We were able to implement verification flow

• Create mobile wallet for users

What we learned

• Working in teams and doing things differently that solve a problem from already existing solutions

What's next for VestPurse

• Apply for incorporation while striving to continuously then add some features before launching while striving continuously to improve it and ensuring customers get full value from it. They believe that a great product most often sells itself.
