Inspiration

We are a team of avid travelers who have tried different approaches of organizing trips via searches, chat apps, docs, etc. Even if we have an itinerary, the plan usually changes during travel and requires more work. We believe there is an existing gap which unifies the pre-travel, in-travel and post-travel experience.

Travel should be as unique and dynamic as the traveler. We noticed that most travel planning tools are rigid, generic, and disconnected from the real-time needs and moods of people on the move. We wanted to empower travelers to craft experiences that truly reflect their vibe-before, during, and after the journey. VibeTrip was born from the belief that every trip should adapt to you, not the other way around.

What it does

VibeTrip lets users create and personalize travel itineraries tailored to their interests and preferences. Users can easily build trips that match their vibe, receive smart suggestions, and adjust their plans as needed. After the trip, users can share their journeys, inspire others, and join a vibrant travel community.

How we built it

We developed a web application using JavaScript/TypeScript. Third-party API integrations include: Groq, Google Maps, Pexel. Deployed the application to Vercel.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was integrating accurate, real-time data from multiple sources. Balancing deep personalization with a simple, intuitive user experience required careful UX design. Laying the groundwork for future features-like creator tools and real-time itinerary adaptation-also demanded thoughtful planning and architecture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud of delivering a flexible itinerary system that empowers users to craft trips tailored to their unique interests. Our modular builder makes trip planning easy and enjoyable, and our sharing features help foster a sense of community among travelers. We’ve also established a solid technical foundation for future expansion.

What we learned

We learned that travelers crave flexibility and personalization, but also value simplicity and peace of mind. Building a product that can grow to support both creators and travelers requires empathy, adaptability, and a clear vision. Most importantly, we learned that giving users control over their journeys leads to richer, more memorable travel experiences.

What's next for VibeTrip

Next, we plan to build out the creator-side features, enabling users to design, share, and monetize unique tours. We’ll also focus on developing the in-travel experience, including real-time itinerary adaptation and immersive audio tours that evolve with the traveler’s schedule and preferences. Enhancing community features, launching pilot programs in top destinations, and forging partnerships with local experts and tourism boards are also on our roadmap. Our vision is to make VibeTrip the go-to hub for personalized, adaptive travel-where every journey is as unique and vibrant as the traveler themselves.
