Vicario is a virtual reality simulation made with the help of Oculus Rift, Leap Motion, Unity and AccuWeather's API. We have created a truly immersive experience for the user by using Oculus Rift and data from AccuWeather to put real time weather conditions into the simulation.
Our objective with this VR game is to raise awareness for drinking under the influence because it is a very important issue. Astonishingly: Every 51 minutes in America, someone is killed in a drunk driving crash. That equates to 27 people every day.
The story of the simulation is inspired by a real accident that happened in San Jose, California, back in 2010.

- Someone is injured in a drunk driving incident every 120 seconds.
- Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death for teens, and roughly 1/3 of these accidents involve alcohol or another substance.
