Inspiration

We used Zoom as our inspiration.

What it does

We used firebase as a way to authenticate the users. Users are able to open and view their webcam and text other users within the room who are also active.

How we built it

We used React for the Front end, Firebase as a database for authentication, and express and socket.io for the real chat aspect.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues trying to use simplePeer as a way to send the video and audio to other users within the room.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that users can sign up, login and text other users.

What we learned

We learned alot about Css, React, and backend development, we also learned about Firebase as well.

What's next for Video chat prototype

To build out the real time chat and include video and audio real time chats
