What it does

Vidfye allows users to watch or download movies from many genre available.

How we built it

We code vidfye using Vuejs , the popular JavaScript framework and Django (a popular python library) which base on orm model. The frontend is mainly built to incorporate the modern web technologies ( PWA , Audio Api, Ffmpeg and SSR).

Challenges we ran into

I design the whole thing with my mobile device. I don't have a laptop, I'm 16 years old.

We have participated in many hackathons and this is my first success product that is marketable

What we learned

What's next for Vidfye

I'm working on creating a library they will allow users to stream .mkv extension files on the go. Users don't have to convert the .mkv url to .mp4 before being able to stream. Most of vidfye streaming url are .mkv. most browser don't support .mkv.

I'm using Ffmpeg to generate buffer of .mkv being converted to mp4 and streaming it to the users
