Inspiration

When I were filling the form of swags of this hackathon then there we have two options , we can plant a tree or we can get swags then everyone have some trust issue that if we choose plantation of tree then they will plant it or not . So, from here I get the idea of this project.

What it does

My app Virtual Plantation have two modes (1) as a donator and (2) as a gardener . People who want to do plantation but they couldn't do it because of time or suitable place then they can join our app as a donator, they have to donate some money according to tree and they can watch its plantation live at suitable place and environment . There are many gardener in our country who regularly plants tree in their fields but they didn't get any profit for it , so , this app will pay that donated money to them , they have to host a video meeting on our app so that donator can watch the plantation live and they can also talk to eachother.

How I built it

I built this app on Android Studio. Here I use the Agora for interactive video calling and use XML for designing the user interface and also use the java for working of my app.

Challenges I ran into

I have faced many challenges during building this project like

  1. Thinking about the idea.
  2. Running agora's interactive video calling in my app.
  3. How donator will pay money and join the meeting host by the gardener.
  4. Thinking about how my app will work.
  5. How our app will give some profit to the small gardener.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I tried to provide some profit to the small gardener for their regular work . So , I achieve my this plan . It will also help in making our environment better. Some people want to do but they couldn't do it because of time and space so I also make it easy for such type of people. So, I think , these are some accomplishments that I'm proud of

What I learned

From this project I learned to configure video calling in my android project using Agora and many things in it like how to manage audio and video during calling.

What's next for Virtual Plantation

In the current project , here donator can watch only the plantation live but I want to donator also want to make sure that , their plant is in good condition or not . So, I will also try to make video meeting time to time according to the donator and gardener . So that donator can watch their plant growing. Then it will make my project more trustable.
