Inspiration
After seeing the volunteers of the Lebanese Red Cross work hard to save their people, we realized that there needs to be a way for these volunteers to understand the health conditions their people face.
What it does
We created VitSquad, an iOS and web app that serves as a tool those with limited medical knowledge the proper solutions to provide effective medical care. Users are able to input certain health data of patients, which is then stored locally. Then users can learn what health conditions their patient may face as well as find the nearest hospitals to them.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS along with Bootstrap to build our web design. The backbone of our website is Javascript which we used to implement Google Map API, local storage, and forms.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to make Bootstrap work with our format of the page (embedded Google Map) as well as storing local data.
What's next for VitSquad
After the hackathon, we would like to include a database to store information as well as implement accessibility features like speech to text and translation APIs.
