Inspiration

I studied a lot, doing btech, learning new skills but I believe what is the point if I do not apply it in real world. I really want to serve for my society, Exploring NGOs but always end up doubting authenticity, then I remember "Be the change you wish to see." - Mahatma Gandhi , So I thought why not do something by myself for our society,and here I am with VOLUNIFYY ,so that many people like me can also join the cause.

What it does

So, We have 2 portals-

1. Where anyone can post opportunities, and can create social event by adding image,time,date and location.
2. The enrollment portal where volunteers can enroll in those events and select cities and can join accordingly.
3. My designs, the passionate quotes I added is showing in app aesthetics.It is motivating people to be together and do something for society.

How we built it

So mainly I used REACT.JS and Bootstrap for the frontend ,and for backend I used SPRINGBOOT,MYSQL,MRN stack.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge is distance between the location and volunteer,which I resolved as now volunteer can select city,and show their interest accordingly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

-I created this app for my self satisfaction,that I did something for my society,for my mother earth. -Then it really helped me improving backend and designing skills. -Then my professors also appreciated the idea and site,My fellows also liked it,is big thing for me, Also my HOD praises me and and suggesting me ideas for betterment is great achievement for me.

What we learned

I really improved my designing skills,my backend also improved and also I learnt to deal with APIs,I really want to thank you for giving me this opportunity.

What's next for VOLUNIFYY

I was thinking to expand this app by adding new features and functionalities like Donate option etc. also thinking to tie up with some ngos so that app got support and get spreaded and More and More people join this cause
