Through the Studio program of CS+Social Good at Stanford, my team and I had the opportunity to spend the last year delving into the mental health space to better understand what problems those involved (patients, doctors, etc.) face. With this understanding in mind, our team decided to go to the drawing board to see how we could help.

As a product of this learning, we built “W/Me” (pronounced “with me”), an app that allows users to keep track of the emotional well-being of their close friends. By reminding users to do quick daily check-ins and keeping track of their general mental health status over the course of weeks, W/Me lets friends know when someone has had a particularly rough week so that they can check in on them. We built this to combat a common issue we found in the mental health space - struggling with mental health issues can be an incredibly isolating experience, and reaching out for help can be one of the hardest things. We built W/Me to try to help solve this.

We're hammering away at the app and are excited to release it on the App Store this summer. We built it with React-Native and Firebase, and if you'd like to check it out, you can find it at https://github.com/apappu97/W-Me.
