waitER is a queue that enables a medical receptionist to add patients to a waiting list with an algorithm (to be developed) that alters the waiting list order based on a severity scale of emergency type. The patients can then view their constantly updating waiting time on a web application using their name and birth date information.

Jason and David worked with JavaScript on Google Script to link a Google Sheet that can be updated and update the waiting times based on time already waited in the ER and the severity scale.

This was our fist hackathon, so it was hard determining how to get started. We are proud that we have a somewhat finished project at the completion of Hack@Brown.

We learned . . . a lot. Too much to put in this while there is 20 minutes until submission.

Check out the Next Steps slide on the google slides to see what direction waitER will head in next.
