Walking Buddy

Inspiration

We find ourselves wanting to walk to school, but we can't, because we don't know who to walk with, or we don't schedule a time in the morning.

It allows students to collaborate to fix a time to walk or bike to school together

We built it using SwiftUI

We often ran into errors that easily fixable.

Being able to pinpoint a location using Xcode's MapKit.

I learn how to use MapKit, and Authentication Services to find a location.

I worked on the initial design of the screens. I coded the MapScreen and actually pinpointing the user locations on the map. When the user decides to walk/bike, it will take them to the map points of their buddies who are ready to walk/bike. I also worked on the Login Screen to get it to authenticate the user information. I currently hard coded the buddies and the geolocation in the app. In future, we will try to use a service like firebase where in the users can successfully register and the data for the app will be read from it.

I worked on the login screen to get it to authenticate the user information, and the screen where users get to decided whether they want to walk or bike to school. I also worked on the mapScreen and tried reading the places from a file whhich stored all the data. The MapScreen also points to the specified location you want it to.
