Briefly describe your project in relation to the challenge prompt (200 words MAX)
WanderWorks is a platform that connects art enthusiasts with artists from underrepresented communities around the world. Our subscription model offers monthly craft bundles, featuring a different mystery artist or small business creator each month. Each box includes unique handmade crafts and a mini DIY project that allows subscribers to create a simplified version of the featured artist's work. This interactive element not only fosters creativity but also builds a deeper connection between artists and art collectors within our community. By engaging in the creation process, subscribers gain appreciation and empathy for the artistic journey, making each box a memorable and educational experience.
Describe your main design decisions and how they contribute to your product (300 words MAX)
Our team first brainstormed for the majority of Friday’s session. On Saturday morning, our main concept ended up covering subscription-based startup packages. Once the decision was made, we jumped right into wireframing to layout content and functionality, as well as creating low-fidelity sketches on Canva and Procreate. We then selected a color palette via Perception.io and created a branding style kit on Figma that we all followed while we split the work of designing the various pages. Firstly, we wanted to incorporate an eye-catching welcome page that leads login pages for the customer and the seller. We also wanted to implement an AI chatbot that allows the user to pick out their interests so that they have a more personalized experience using the app. Then they'll be able to view kits that are trending, as well as read through the biography of small business creators. As a business owner, you will be able update your dashboard where you can post photos of your work and include captions underneath. Finally, we combined all of our designs into the final product.
