Inspiration

With the growing issues regarding food waste, my team decided to tackle a problem that has huge societal implications. Growing problems such as food waste are alarming in today's society and must be approached efficiently and effectively.

What it does

We created a model that collects data from many different sources of input in order to create an effective strategy for reducing waste at it's sources.

How we built it

After brainstorming our ideas, we organized everything into a flow chart and then created an organized website to display our plans and algorithm.

Challenges we ran into

Due to a lack of coding experience, this group faced many problems coding the website as well as the algorithm. We were able to overcome the challenges faced with web design but the algorithm never had a successful trial.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Among the most important accomplishments is our ability to effectively analyze and approach the food waste situation and developing an effective strategy that incorporates modern technology in order to effectively solve the issue.
