Inspiration

Our teammate Jessica is passionate about music and loves Spotify, so we wanted to utilize the API.

What it does

The app gives a percentage of how compatible two users are depending on their music tastes.

How we built it

The back end was built in node. The matching considers each user's top tracks, artists, related artists and similar genre preferences.

Challenges we ran into

Juggling user authentication for two users was challenging and required us to use a second browser.

Storing users preferences so matches can be found whenever a new user joins the service.
