Inspiration: Everyone has a refillable water bottle, but no one knows where the filter stations are around campus. So, we wanted to create an app where users can pin the locations of water filter stations and water fountains for easy guidance.

What it does: It is a mapping utility that allows users to pin (by holding down on a location for 1 second) and retrieve the locations of water filter stations and water fountains across campus or across the world, and will guide them there accordingly.

How we built it: We used Swift 3.0 in XCode using their built in API's like MapKit and UIKit.

Challenges we ran into: We ran into issues saving the pins to the non-existent backend of the app. We attempted to use Firebase to store the coordinates of each pin, but were unable to get a working back end in time for submission.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Getting the map as a whole and the current location tracker to work. Additionally, given that only two out of the four people on our team had coded in Swift before, we are proud of our efforts.

What we learned: We honed our skills in Swift, particularly the User Interface portion.

What's next for WeFill: Finish the app.
