In 2020, a sudden outbreak changed our lives and made it necessary to stay indoors. With that comes the shift to online activities, online learning, online work, online dating... These online activities have greatly weakened the communication and understanding between people. For instance, in the past, working partners and studying group members could communicate face to face, and participate in some fun outdoor activities, but now each person seems to be identified as a picture and a name on the screen. To breakdown the invisible barrier between working partners, our group members came up with the idea of playing truth games between partners to help them get to know each other better.
The inspiration for our website’s working flow comes from Kahoot. When participants join the game, they set one truth and one lie about themselves, and let their partners choose which one is true, so that they can get to know their partners in a fun way. The development of this website can help ease the current estrangement of human relations. Our target groups are big project teams in companies or schools, various societies in the society, etc. I believe that with the help of this website, people can overcome the problems caused by distance and network to a certain extent.
