Inspiration

The future will be tokenized and Westminter allows you to create any token for any purpose in one simple step

What it does

Westminter generates tokens easily by entering name, symbol, decimals and supply, as easy as that. You get ownership of tokens that can be immediately transferred or traded in any wallet or app that allows it

How we built it

We built Westminter using NodeJS and the JS-SDK library with plain vanilla html, css and js on the client

Challenges we ran into

We tried to minimize the use of databases and decentralize all steps of the process making it as simple as possible to generate accounts, mint, transfer and trade tokens in one single dApp and Hedera was a perfect fit for that

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The simplicity of use, concise and appealing UI and the effectiveness of our API design made the whole development process smooth

What we learned

Hedera Hashgraph is a great platform for generating tokens without using smart contracts and the SDKs are top notch tools to speed development time

What's next for Westminter

The move to mainnet will take some major changes to increase privacy in handling accounts and private keys. It is necessary to adapt wallet connections to sign transactions without the dApp having to request private keys from the users
