Inspiration

Whisp was inspired by the idea of connecting people through shared childhood memories and nostalgia. We wanted to create a platform where individuals could relive and discuss their cherished moments.

What it does

Whisp is a platform for sharing childhood memories with pictures and descriptions. It will use smart algorithms to connect users who have similar memories, sparking conversations and new connections, as we move forward with this project.

How we built it

We used Figma mostly for designing the UI.
HTML and CSS to make it as real as possible so that some functionalities could be applied.

Challenges we ran into

The whole team united when only 20 hours were left for the final deadline and we stayed up the whole night to build the design of the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud that Whisp has brought together a diverse community, fostering genuine interactions and positive conversations based on shared memories.

What we learned

Through Whisp, we've learned that nostalgia is a powerful tool for building connections across cultures and generations, and technology can amplify these connections in meaningful ways. Other than that, we enhanced our skills on HTML, CSS and Figma. Not to mention, we even learnt how to coordinate with a team during this project.

What's next for Whisp

Looking ahead, we'll be working on building and refining the matching algorithms, exploring multimedia features, and launch the app to make Whisp the ultimate platform for connecting people through their most cherished memories.
