What's Happening In X See what's happening around you

We set out aiming to deliver a user friendly social media app that would allow users to communicate with other nearby users, similar to YikYak, but without anonymous users and with added video and picture functionality.

We wanted to also have some focus on the tech for good theme of the hackathon, and so we ensured we met some global goal targets, such as contributing to better access to information and communication technology (goal 9) and ensuring equal opportunity was provided for users on our platform (goal 10). link

Our team was made up of a group of varied skill set, however we managed to find a role for everyone to take in the project.

We managed to produce a high quality, polished iOS app as well as get started on developing an Android app which was able to communicate with our Firebase backend. Screenshots of our iOS demo app can be found below.
