Many of our college companions tend to ignore their alarm clocks, silencing them and becoming late for class as a result. So we had an idea for an app that would prevent that.

The application emits a hyper-active incredibly annoying alarm that cannot be silenced without solving a number of coding questions, which force the user to awaken somewhat to answer.

We built this app using android studio, heavily utilizing Java and xml.

We consistently ran into challenges and hurdles, what with the enormous file sizes we had, as well as lack of foresight regarding the true scope of the endeavor. Challenges included confusing variable scopes, as well as finding ways out of the excessive looping that occurs with a program constantly updating in real time.

I and my team are very proud of coding an app in 24 hours, despite the majority of us having never used android studio before, and having little to no experience with larger projects.

I learned that I can quickly pick up skills that I don't possess at a moment's notice when necessary. I practically learned how to use android studio in 24 hours.

We hope to upload Woke Code to the playstore after some minor tweaking and refining.
