Inspiration
Inspired by efficient tools like Google Calendar, we wanted to create a smarter, cost-effective digital PA system. For organisations like the Singapore Book Council, we saw the need for tools that streamline meeting schedules, automate tasks, and simplify email communication through AI.
What it does
WonderWorm connects to Gmail to summarise email threads using AI, schedules meetings, sends reminders, allows agenda sharing—all in one seamless platform.
How we built it
We used the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) for development, styled the interface with Tailwind CSS, and integrated OpenAI’s API to summarise Gmail threads. Gmail APIs facilitated secure email access for automation.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating Gmail APIs and ensuring secure handling of user data posed technical challenges. Fine-tuning AI summaries to handle diverse email formats and maintaining response speed also required careful optimisation.

What's next for WonderWorm
We plan to enhance WonderWorm by expanding integrations with other productivity tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams, and introduce analytics dashboards for task tracking. Our goal is to make WonderWorm an indispensable assistant for administrators worldwide.
