Inspiration

Hello, My project name is WorkBro. It is a mobile app which helps poor people or low-educated people to learn skills and find local jobs. This idea is mainly made to support UN Sustainable Development Goal 1 – No Poverty.

What it does

I belong to a simple background and I saw many people in villages or slum areas who don’t have jobs, or they work very hard for small money. Many of them don’t know English, don’t have big degrees, but they have hands, skills, and hard work.

I thought, what if I build an app where they can learn tailoring, cooking, repair work, etc., and talk to AI in their own language — like a friend — and also find small jobs near them?

That’s how WorkBro was born — a helpful AI buddy to teach and guide.

How we built it

We learned how to use V0.dev to design UI using AI and generate frontend easily, explored how AI like Whisper and ChatGPT can work with voice input/output, understood more about designing for real people, not just tech users, We learned to plan step by step and not be afraid of building big ideas.

Challenges we ran into

First, we wrote the idea and drew simple wireframes on paper. We used V0.dev to generate beautiful and working UI components. we wrote prompts to design each screen like: skill modules, AI tutor, job listings. we connected the design logic with backend ideas (Firebase or Supabase). The app is made to work offline, and support regional languages. we used icons and voice features to help users who can’t read.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We turned a big social problem into a real working app idea

We created 5 full UI screens using AI tools like V0.dev in very less time

Our app supports voice and local language, which is useful for real people

We kept the design simple and offline-friendly for low-end users

We worked as a team, shared ideas, and learned together

We built something that can really help poor or jobless people in villages and small towns

What's next for WorkBro

We want to add real skill videos in local languages (like tailoring, cooking, electrician)

Add AI voice assistant fully working, where user can talk and learn

Connect the app to real local job data, like apprenticeships or daily wage jobs

Improve offline support and add download feature for modules

Test with real users (like in our villages) to see what they feel

Maybe in future, launch it on Play Store to help more people
