Inspiration
People often save their workout routines in the notes app, but there is no easy way to share it. Our goal, was to make fitness more social, motivating, and accessible for everyone.
What it does
SpotMe allows users to create personalized workout routines and share them with friends or the wider community.
How we built it
- Frontend: Svelte & SvelteKit for a reactive user experience
- UI Components: shadcn-svelte integrated with Tailwind CSS
- Backend & Database: Supabase for authentication and secure storage
Challenges we ran into
- Integrating Supabase authentication and database sync within SvelteKit
- Creating a finished frontend for the routine sharing page
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Building a working prototype that allows users to fully customize their personal workouts
- Creating a foundation for a much larger project
What we learned
- How to effectively integrate Supabase with SvelteKit
What's next for SpotMe
- Implementing AI recommendations for user workouts
- Implementing tags, to help users search for workouts that fit their specific needs
- Add a share with friends feature, to allow users to send their schedule directly to friends
- AI automatically finds instructional videos for each exercise, helping newcomers learn proper form
