Inspiration

We couldn't find a seat at Worcester for our meal meetup to brainstorm ideas for RL competitions for our club, MassAI.

What it does

Provides a gymnasium-compatible RL gym to facilitate a competition for agents to find seats at Worcester Dining Commons. We also included and trained a basic Q-table RL agent as an example.

How we built it

We. used Pygame and Gymnasium to create the visualization and the gym environment itself

Challenges we ran into

use of git collaboratively on one file, learning Pygame

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to include almost every feature we could think of to make it somewhat simulate Worcester

What we learned

Minute details and conventions of creating custom RL gyms, which will help in creating more complicated competitions in the future

What's next for WoRLester

Provide boilerplate code to facilitate contestants making a basic RL agent for the game Add additional competitions like this to form MassAI's club RLympics
