Inspiration

When we tried booking an appointment at USF Student Health and Wellness, the process was very long and could've been much shorter. We have to fill up the same data multiple times. And you can't even book appointments on the weekends.

What it does

Our app securely stores your health data, allowing you to easily share it with any doctor, even if they aren't using the app. It also provides a seamless platform for booking appointments with professionals within the app's network. A key feature is the app's ability to track your vitals in the days leading up to an appointment.

For example, if your doctor requires three days of sleep and resting heart rate data, the app will have it ready instantly, eliminating the need for an additional wait time.

How we built it

It was 100% coded in Swift. It uses Google's Gemini for the AI analysis.

Challenges we ran into

We didn't know anything about programming in Swift, so everything was new for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're incredibly proud of the app's clean and seamless user interface. We focused on creating a design that feels like a default Apple app, ensuring it fits perfectly within the iOS ecosystem's aesthetic.

What we learned

Building this app taught us the fundamentals of Swift programming and iOS app development. We gained valuable experience in API integration, UI/UX design, and project management, all while navigating a completely new technological landscape.

What's next for WristDoc

We plan to expand the app's data collection capabilities to include more comprehensive health information, such as pre-existing conditions and hereditary diseases. And also more vitals directly from your Apple Watch.
