Inspiration
The data we store in various apps that we use are not secure and are stored in various databases which are owned by different organisations. Sensitive data stored on the internet is never secure. Even if we try to store the data in hard drives or in a written format. It is still prone to physical damage, ignorance or theft.
What it does
Our project is the one and only solution for decentralised and encrypted data storage for private data. One can upload any confidential and highly protected data in our dapp which gets encrypted in a decentralised way with the help of Lit nodes with decryption key tied to the private key of the owner of the data.
How we built it
We built the frontend using Reactjs. For interacting with the smart contracts we used ethers.js library. For building the smart contract on the XinFin network we used solidity. We used Pinata to upload the encrypted files in IPFS.

We are proud to provide the first ever completely decentralized file encryption solution in the XDC network.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate Lit protocol with the XDC network and encrypt files.
What's next for Xincrypt
We are going to release the V0 of the project on 25th of September as a beta version. On Jan 1 2023, we are planning to release a new feature of shared folders where multiple group of people can get access to files.
