Inspiration

We wanted to create an app in which we could help others experience the lives of women of different ethnicities in order to spread the word on how these women live different lifestyles than us.

What it does

XXperience educates and raises awareness of the women living in impoverished countries such as Saudi Arabia, through a virtual experience game that gives the user simulation-type scenarios to make them learn more about these situations.

How I built it

We built it using HTML and CSS.

Challenges I ran into

We had trouble incorporating the map to show different locations, but eventually, we figured it out. We also found it difficult to create the HTML pages as none of us had much experience in HTML (it was our first time).

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We successfully coded from scratch a functioning website in HTML.

What's next for XXperience

Our plan for a blog is underway, we weren’t able to finish the code for it, but our intention was to allow people to share their gender inequality experiences from their own region, and for organizations to be able to promote themselves and reach out to people who are equally passionate about the cause. We intend to do more research to expand the website, reaching out to educate people about many of the countries facing social injustice, and inspire them to take action alongside the many people among them to fight back against inequality and fight for women empowerment.
