Inspiration
There are so many platforms for people to find events and meetups near them. However, there are none which exist for youth or young people, such as students in high school and university. I was also inspired by sage.buildspace.so (no longer exists) which was an AI-based chat interface to find out about people who are interested in the same things as you.
I built yeetup, meetups for youth. It uses an AI-first interaction, having a simple and natural interface for finding events and meetups for students.
What it does
The user can use their voice or type into the textbox to ask a question or some text to find out about events near them. For example, something like, "what are the hackathons near me?" Then, yeetup will search through a repository of events and provide information in natural language. The user can then follow up and ask for more information.
