What it does
Yellowpages is essentially a hub for locating quality restrooms. Our product locates the best restrooms nearest to you, and recommends the highest rated ones for you to do your business. Once you’ve used a restroom, you can also leave your very own review to help any future people in need!
How we built it
We established a general design on Figma and then brainstormed core functionalities. We then developed the functional skeleton of our app and finished off by mirroring the original design in our Figma.
Challenges we ran into
Deciding our color palette and page layout, implementing the review and filter system, and consolidating various components together into a final product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our conceptual and visual design as well as being able to successfully deploy a clean/functional web application. Most importantly, we had a lot of fun.
What we learned
On top of new technical skills, we got our first glimpse into fast-paced development given the minimal time span provided for this project.
What's next for Yellowpages
We plan to begin by implementing a Map API to enable our users to easily locate restrooms. Furthermore, we plan to expand to restrooms outside of UCLA.
