Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the struggles and gripes of our team members in class. Generally, I think we all found that there was a pain point when it comes to keeping consistently good notes throughout the semester, and this idea came as a natural solution to the problem.
What it does
This app acts as a note-sharing platform, allowing students from York College to share ideas on different topics in an academic, but fun, setting.
How we built it
We built the project using React for the majority of the front-end work, and used Superbase to deal with the database management.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge by far was making the database work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are especially proud that we were able to produce a visually appealing output on time.
What we learned
We learned a few things:
- How to use Supabase
- How to integrate auth0
What's next for York Note
We have a few more ideas, namely some kind of expansion on rating systems, some kind of functional feedback on the notes themselves, as well as connecting, modifying, and deleting the data on the notes.
Built With
- auth0
- javascript
- react
- supabase
