Idea

Applying to multiple jobs / internships is stressful, especially when companies expect tailored CVs targeted at their particular niches - which is almost unrealistic fo busy undergraduates already suffering from the weight of coursework to do. To address this issue, our project makes this process more manageable and less stressful by automatically generating customizing your CV to as many applications as you want in a one click system.

Stack

The system is built using Python and Flask. For the front-end, we used React and Typescript to render the webpage and rendering CV PDFs; while for the backend, we used the OpenAI API along with a custom FastAPI server to support the generation of the CVs.

Inspiration

We were inspired by the struggles of university students, especially undergrads, who are always on the lookout for internships and jobs, but don't always have the time to tailor their CVs for each application. We wanted to make this process easier and less stressful
