Inspiration
We wanted to make a mechanic heavy game, which would be fun, but also easy to implement. We also wanted something Sci-Fi, with a simplistic art style. That is how we came up with Zero-G.
What it does
Zero-G is a puzzle game, which uses gravity as its main mechanic. The goal of the game is simple - Reach the end, and rebuild the equation of gravity.
How we built it
We used C# and Unity.
Challenges we ran into
There were a lot (and I mean a lot) of challenges which we encountered while creating this game. Bugs, Glitches, Compilation Errors, and that's just a couple.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We managed to come up with a pretty good idea. We fell a bit short while implementing it, but I believe that we do have a plan to continue the development of Zero G.
What we learned
We learned the importance of planning. We sort of ran into this project heads first (which in hindsight, was a mistake). Next time, we'll plan more before going into this.
What's next for Zero G
There is a lot we still need to do. We want to implement our ideas - the equations, the final boss fight, the random generation. There is still a lot to do before Zero G becomes an actual game.
