Inspiration

As international students, getting from the airport to our campus is something that is so difficult to do. Finding people who are offering a ride to the same place is helpful, but tedious and difficult to find. Why not make an application that allows students to view services offered by others, and a chance to market their own? Moreover, plenty of students who can cut hair, paint nails, even clean shoes, are looking for a way that they can expand and monetise their service. This app enables just that.

What it does

It is a streamlined application that enables students to buy and sell products and services on a single platform.

How we built it

We built the application using SwiftUI as the frontend, Flask on the serverside, and PostgreSQL as the database. We also enabled AWS S3 to store image files.

Challenges we ran into

It was quite difficult to integrate both the backend and the frontend, while ensuring a good User Experience.
