What would you build with your own supercomputer? Would you solve problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the betterment of society, or would start working on that million-dollar idea that you always wanted to begin?
Distributed Summer 2020 is a student-organized hackathon where participants from all over Canada have the ability to learn, build, and innovate with a distributed supercomputer. Held virtually on August 14th-16th, come hack with cutting edge technology, learn from leading industry experts, meet fellow hackers across the country, and win cash prizes all from the comfort of your own home.
Powered by the Distributed Compute Protocol (DCP), a powerful computing platform that lets you write code once that will run anywhere from a data centre to your kitchen smart fridge. DCP harnesses the idle computing power of any device from servers and aims to bring more compute power online than ever before and accelerate science, discovery and innovation. Developers and researchers use DCP for anything from machine learning to modelling the spread of COVID-19, the possibilities are endless.
We can’t wait to see your ideas brought to life!
