Teams: 

  • Teams of 4 to 6 people are allowed (TAMU students, faculty, staff only)
  • All participants must give consent to participate in the event by signing Consent Form during on-site registration, Friday February 28, 2020 at 4-5pm in Langford C105. 
  • Teams will choose just one challenge to compete for.
    • Teams will be required to submit team roster and challenge chosen through Google Form.
  • To compete for the Best Multidisciplinary Team Award, a team must have at least two members from different disciplines. 
  • Each team can only win one of the seven "challenge winner" awards.
  • Each team can win a combination of prizes in addition to winning a challenge (there are different special awards other than best project award for each challenge). 
  • Show and tell presentations can only be 3 minutes long.

 

Projects: 

  • Projects are to be produced during the 24 hours of the event, either on site, or in other locations.
  • Projects can not be preious work produced for other purposes. Judges will have a final decision on this term.

 

To be considered for Awards, the following steps must be taken on Saturday, Febryary 29th, 2020:

  • By 12pm: Teams must sign up for Show & Tell. Link to form will be circulated via email, announcement and will be available here.
  • by 2pm: Teams must:
    • Submit project presentation through Devpost. Start submission process early - you can save and edit.
    • Bring Final Presentation (3 mins max) on a USB to Langford B - Geren Auditorium.
  • 3-4pm: Teams must present their project to the panel of Judges, Challengers, participants and interested parties during Show & Tell. 

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • This is a Texas A&M University event, all students must abide by the Student Code of Conduct/Aggie Honor Code.
  • Content you created for previous classes or projects are NOT acceptable. If a submission is identified as significantly similar to any of the team member's previous project, DivHack reserves the right to cancel any award you win.

PRINTING SERVICE

  • Each team is able to print large format posters or other materials through the College of Architecture ITS
  • Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday February 29, 2020.
  • Location: 1st floor Langford building A
  • Allowance: $20/team, all extra amount to be paid by the team

MAKER SPACE

  • 3D printing (staff will only be onside starting 10:00am Saturday)
  • Work desks
  • Time: open 24-hour
  • Location: 1st floor Langford building A

STUDIOS throughout Langford A

  • Work desks
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors in Langford A

 

Please note there are no showers on site. 

We will provide plenty of food, snacks, and beverages for FREE. We do encourage you to bring your own water bottle and utilize our Water Refill stations througout Langford buildings.

Organizers reserve the right to change Rules, awards, and award amounts based on the number of teams and participants.
